In our Easter special, Connor Ferris and Vicky Gallant take a stab at creating a movie based around the Lance of Longinus, which purportedly pierced the side of Jesus on the cross. Connor turns a dead rat into a beautiful dead swan. Vicky’s got a soft spot in her heart for Seths in Hollywood. And in the end, the movie with the bigger demographic always wins.
After a brief announcement from your favorite movie execs, we’re in the boardroom for another marketing mix with our Executive Marketing Guru. This week, we’re working on Jimmer Lowe’s movie Orlando’s Finest. Our marketing strategy touches on shot-for-shot remakes, Paul Dano and the Netflix home screen.
Josef and Leete are alone in the boardroom answering listener questions on our favourite Pitch-off Project projects, foreign countries and Meryl Streep. Followed by a lightning round of movie pitches titled: Dog Seeking Dog, Psy-Clone, Sing for the Fences, Niagara Rises, The Groundhog of Summer and El Amor Qui No Habla Ingles: A Star Wars Story.
We’re back with Executive Marketing Guru for another Marketing Mix, this time on Jordi O’Dael’s sci-fi thriller, Karmadillo. Our marketing strategy this time touches on genetically modified super-soldiers, the San Diego Zoo, and unboxing videos….. but not Antarctica!
Grace and Jordi roll up their sleeves to create a movie that makes use of a perfectly realistic armadillo costume. Grace spends an inordinate amount of time and energy looking at Josef in the eyes. Jordi shows off their secret expertise in Zoology. And in the end, we’re all just trying to make Lorraine proud.
